How to Reset Brother DR2300 Drum Counter– Some laser printers that take the Brother DR2300 drum unit may not recognize when a new drum unit has been installed and instead rely on user prompting during installation. Whether you’re using the original Brother DR2300, a re-manufactured Imagine Drum, or even a compatible unit, this prompt is needed. By indicating this, the printer knows it needs to reset an internal counter that anticipates when a new DR2300 is needed and prevents messages such as “Replace Drum” or “Drum End” from appearing prematurely.
