Canon Pixma Pro-100 Setup Methods
There are mainly 3 ways you can try to use to configure the Canon Pro-100. They are
- WPS method
- Confirm network settings
- Standard USB connection method

Canon Pixma Pro-100 setup using the WPS connection method
Before installing the Canon Pro-100 using the WPS connection method, you should keep the following points in mind:
- Make sure the access point has a physical WPS switch.
- If there is no WPS switch, you can specify the standard connection method
- Ensure that your network uses the WPA or WPA2 security protocol as many WPS supported access points use it
Refer to the following steps to install the Canon Pixma Pro-100 via the WPS connection method:
- Turn on your canon pro-100 printer
- Hold the Wi-Fi button at the top of the printer until you see a blue light
- Once the blue light flashes, make sure that this indicator goes up. As soon as it reaches the access point, press the WPS button within 2 minutes
- The Wi-Fi light will continue to flash while searching for the connection.
- This is a sign that the Canon Pro-100 is successfully connected.
Canon Pixma Pro-100 setup via Network Settings Confirmation
- Turn on canon pro 100
- Load letter-size plain paper or A4 sheet
- You will see a prompt that says Resume / Cancel. Press and hold at least 6 times until the light shines
- Once you free it, you will get a printout of the network page
- Make sure you have an active connection when referencing the printed page. Make sure that the service set ID displays the actual name of your wireless network.
Canon Pixma Pro-100 setup via Standard USB Connection Method
- You should get a CD with a Canon Pro 100 printer. Insert it to run the installation
- If you are a Windows user and the CD does not run automatically, remove the CD and reinstall it in your laptop / desktop computer. Go to “My Computer” and click “CD-ROM” and then double-click [MSETUP4.EXE]
- If you are a Windows 8 user, you will need to double click “Canon_IJ”. After the selection window appears, click “MSETUP4.EXE” to run it
- If you are a Mac user, go to the desktop and you will see a Canon icon, on which you will have to double click. Once you see the selection window, click “Configuration”, which will launch the software download link.
- Click “Next” after viewing the initial screen
- Then choose “Wireless Connection”
- Click “Connect to Network”
- In the next window, you will see an option that says “Wireless setup using USB cable”. You are going to choose it
- Select the region (United States, Canada, India, etc.) in the next step.
- In the next screen, select the language
- Once you see a pop-up window, you have to select the software you want to install and then click “Next”. If you want to add specific packages at this level then this is not ok. You can uninstall it anytime at your convenience.
- Comply with the master user license agreement and click “OK”
- Connect Canon Pro 100 Printer to Laptop / Desktop Using USB Cord
- Once the printer is detected, it will appear on the screen. Select the preferred wireless network to connect to the printer
- Once this is done, disconnect the printer from the laptop/desktop, then select “Next”.
- Proceed to next step after matching SSID and printer model number
- Once you are done click “OK.
